I think what we all need to realise is that some people are beyond help! people such as paul12, VP, Zan, GIG, Kimon, YiaLoser and Kurupettos. All enemies till the bitter end.

We still have hope for you Hermes and we are still going to try and save you! Hang in there mate, the excorcism will happen one day.

I dont see you guys as enemies. I see you as equals with a different culture that is also connected to mine. Shame you dont see me in the same way. Show the way guys. This crap about tearing down flags in your heads is as airy fairy as RWs rants. Show me some real efforts and protests in the real world and you will win me over in an instant. Tell me fairy stories and I will laugh at you.

There are many examples of Bicommunal cooperation Zan.

You have just become cynical because you want a divided island and do not desire any solution because you believe that the current situation is a solution for you.

Unfortunately for you, the TC youth do not share your mindset.

But as an example of barriers falling, I point you to this thread:

cyprus36246.html

And since you bought up flags, why don't you guys go one better and get rid of the graffiti on that mountainside?

Now we are talking mate. You are still in the twilite world but at least waking from the dream world of last night.

I am not the one promoting "Cypriotness", you are. I don't need to tear down anything. You do, in order to convince me you are serious.

We have come a long way Zan, but I am cynical that this is merely about Flags. But if it is, then we don't display the Greek Flag on any Government or Public owned buildings. Most of these hideous flags are on private property. Only the RoC and EU Flags are hoisted next to each other on Public buildings.

But having said that, I would love it if the Greek Flag was even more scarce and it will be in due course.

Now, I wasn't mentioning all the Turkish Flags in the "north" but if this is a case of upmanship and morality, then you could easily take the moral high ground in this debate if the graffiti was removed.

I believe Dr Erato Kazakou Marcoulis did great in explaining things very clearly to everyone that even Zan could understand what a settlement would look like for Cyprus as an EU member. She explained what the role of the TCs would be and how the TCs would benefit in a settlement Cyprus. The fact that most of the questions asked were not in the nature of reciprocating to her answers in which the questions had nothing to do with a settlement of Cyprus where every Cypriot would benefit as the minister tried to do, but rather how the illegal "trnc" could and should benefit without a settlement. That the bulk of the questions were on how to improve the conditions in the "trnc" for the TCs and the settlers while at the same time no mention of reaching a settlement that would benefit everyone, but just for themselves. She made those in that room who asked those question look not only stupid, but selfish as well, that these people had no interest in reaching a settlement, but on how to benefit with the Occupation of the north in the illegal "trnc". She definitely showed everyone which side is being magnanimous in wanting a fair settlement for ALL Cypriots and which side does not!

Yes I am sure that there are no Greek Flags on public buildings. As for the checkpoints, I am not sure if any Greek Flags are hoisted officially by the military.

Halil, I don't have a problem about enjoying a cup of coffee with you or Bananiot or anyone else.

In fact, I asked GR to organize something to that effect in the near future. Your names were specifically mentioned. You can ask him if you don't believe me.
