Android tablet anti virus ??

I just got a nice prestige android tablet and it have no anti virus on it but since it connects to the internet i thoguht it might need one, although seeing the user giude it does not say a thing about an anti-virus!

Waiting to hear your thoughts on this--- I am a newbie on them tablets thing.

A "nice prestige Android tablet" .... erm ... best thing to avoid viruses on it is to put it in a bucket of water and add some disinfectant.

No it is not an ipad, ipad is also a tablet just more expensive.

If you install apks only from the official Android Market and well known sites like Amazon or Getjar, then the chances of getting a virus is minimal.

If you want to be safe then Lookout is a lightweight, free antivirus app for Android:

Many thanks Hermes, I will download this one on my phone as mine would expire in 2 weeks, I will also research farther if it is completable for tablets.

my advice to you android users is to root your device, phone or tablet and become an administrator...then no problems...
