Why Turkey is the wise choice to handle Cypriot oil/gas...

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

You willing to trust them?

Ena mas fan laxano re GR

If so many people trusted Turkey in a future BBF plan and have spent like 10 years debating it to death, why would they be so concerned about a genuine business deal with Turkey?

So its ok to LIVE with Turkey, but it's not ok to live separately and be in business with her?

I think Turkey is only interested in these and she thinks she can get them without having to give anything back. It's an illness called, "self delusional"!

And btw, GR, if Turkey did what you asked for, what will happen once the Gas & Oil runs out in the future?

Lets say that your offer is accepted in full, I still think a secondary pipes should be laid to Greece from Cyprus, just to keep Turkey honest to honour her agreements. Why do you think Russia is building a second pipeline to Europe through Turkey's EEZ in the Black sea when they already have a pipeline going through Ukraine? Well, it's to keep Ukraine honest to honour her agreements with Russia, that's all.

Advantages for Turkey:

1. Major EU accession hurdle (The Cyprus problem) eliminated and a new push for the opening and evaluation of all blocked accession chapters.

2. Free oil/gas for Turkey’s domestic needs for the next 50 years.

3. Commission and/or royalty from the transport of oil/gas into Europe.

Turkey came to Cyprus because Greece decided to pounce on Cyprus first! Or was it a double enosis deal gone sour?

Precisely because of willing participants to blackmail, like Get Real!

They have been praying for more like you, GR!, to make their 'troubles' worthwhile.

I serve Cyprus not Greece, so I don't expect Greeks to be pleased with any of this and I couldn't care less...

Professional prospecting reports would answer questions pertaining to quantity, longevity, and all that which would no doubt form part of this deal and be taken into consideration. (for which I have no info)

Well, if the RoC wants to have alternative plans they can I suppose but they should be careful not to raise suspicions with Turkey and end up with a sour deal and collapse.

It’s important to remember that Turkey HATES Greece so anything involving Greece will no doubt be met with Turkish intransigence and resistance.

Turkeys track record on keeping to agreements is total shit, and you want to place our future wealth and prosperity legally in the hands of the Turks.

You are off your box mate and you should apologise to every self respecting GC here.

I find you suggestion most sickening to say the least, you must be getting a touch of Bananiotitis or something, you know when you get the feeling for taking a Turkish dick up the shitter!

Hade re pougiame.

Like I said to Cap, you’re happy that your government is negotiating LIVING with Turkey under a BBF plan but a plan like this that LIBERATES Cyprus is anathema?

I’m starting to have my doubts about some people’s intentions in here… :?

It appears that some people here thought that this BBF was all about coexisting with “Turkish Cypriots”!!!

But how could you be so naive? :?

It’s living with TURKEY that you’re negotiating!

Believe it!

Obviously because the liberation of my country comes first and wealth second!

There’s enough oil/gas there to lure Turkey out of Cyprus, or you can think to yourself... “It’s all mine I tell you! Mine, mine, mine!” like Duffy Duck did on the fantastic island and lose the lot in the end!

Welcome to the real world, GR! Now you can understand perhaps why we are in the mess we are. These fascists do have intentions and they are now ready, in the name of patriotism, to sell off the rest of Cyprus.
