Well strictly speaking we should wait for the jury's verdict on the remaining charges and the inevitable appeal.

So far guilty on three out of four with verdicts awaited on nine other charges.

The man's looking at a good stretch inside even just on the strength of the three guilty specimen charges so far.

He'll probably develop an illness overnight, like they all do and be allowed off for humanitarian reason. Either that or he'll threaten to expose certain MPs for their corrupt behaviour and get let lose. Somehow, and I hope I'm wrong, I think he might just be slippery enough to get away with a suspended sentence.

The amounts involved are way too big for a suspended sentence... but yes, as you say, they'll be a sudden and mysterious illness.

He literally went from pauper to “business man” overnight!

Yet he never bothered to come and find the legal owner of the factory he stole and offer him or his family; who were now penniless on the streets, something as a token of appreciation for his change of fortune!

This story disgusts me every time I think about it!

This is typical of many of the TCs over there. No wonder they don't want anything solved.

Yes it is disgusting, the worst example of profiteering from the Invasion and Occupation and from the misery of others and of downright theft.

As far as aware the clothing business, which started as a small back-street affair in East London, was legit in his family's ownership, but where it gets into Cyprob territory and of particular relevance to the people of such places as Morphou and Lapithos is in the matter of fruit growing, juice processing and packaging, as well as very real and large-scale support (at least in the early years) to the Illegal Regime.

... and all done with the help of institutional "investors" in places like the City of London who didn't give a damn about the underlying crimes in CY. Still at least it's a comfort they lost out big time.

Im here just took a break for bayram.....now we all know Mr Nadir built his empire from the UK and not the TRNC, he just located here after making billions by investing in Polly Peck DelMonte Sansui Vestel etc etc. Of course the GCs worked constantly to bring this tycoon down as they always that is why the first bank that pulled the rug form under the great Mr Nadir had GC/Greeks on its board. The great man has been acquitted of one of the charges against him and others will follow but of course he will appeal and his health is not of the best definitely not good enough to serve a long jail sentence as best he will confined to his luxury apartment in the heart of London.
