Asprokremmos nearing 100% capacity

Postby Cap » Sun Jan 22, 2012 2:44 pm

Last time the dam overflowed was in 2004.
I'm almost certain it will again this year. It stands at 80% as of today.

pic was taken today by me.

Most dramatic. :) You could generate a load of hydro-electricity from that.

- Another half a dozen Dams have overflowed as well.

[Must be a Divine message to those water-pipe-laying, boasting Turks.]

I liked this from The Mail today
'District Engineer of the Water Development Department Vasos Socratous yesterday said the Paphos services had prepared to deal with any radical phenomena. “We are not expecting serious problems. Just that the rivers were dried out for many years now and this year they will come alive, and all those who had the nerve or disrespect to use the riverbanks, the rivers will seek to get what belongs to them back.”

What he is discreetly saying is 'those developers who have built......'
