In the meantime, Turkey has spent a fair amount of time and energy in recent months warning Europe that it won't turn up to the ball if Cyprus takes over the EU Presidency this July without a peace solution.
So, what does Red Prez do? Go for a peace solution? Considers not tasking over the EU presidency or says to Turkey 'You are not welcome in our failing club'
He really has little choice.
