Where in the laws of "survival of the species" does it say anything about protecting another species?

I am sure that if any of us had to butcher an animal on our own to eat we'd all be vegetarian. If slaughterhouses had glass walls we'd all be.

And I am sure that had your ancient ancestors NOT butchered any animals you wouldn't be here right now! Just because we’ve gone soft in the 21st century doesn’t mean we can’t do it if we had to.

You mean survival of the fittest? We are clearly the fittest! But we are not in the jungle anymore. We can choose our type of diet. We don't blindly follow our instincts like jungle creatures. So what you are saying is for humans to go back to the jungle and every species for themselves? If that happened then trust me we won't stay alive for long !

I know our ancient ancestors ate other animals. BUT they didn't do it at the scale that we do it today. Millions of animals every day are placed upside down on a hook and their neck passes through a blade as if they're soulless pieces of meat. Female cows are kept regnant all the time so they can produce milk and baby calves are kept confined in spaces not bigger that a box so that their muscles don't develop and they are tender for consuming.

It is the industrialization of slaughtering that bothers me the most. And the perception people have that if you don't eat meat then you wont take protein and bad things will happen to you. That's all a bunch of bull.

The Holy Bible clearly defines what mankind should or should not eat. 'Leviticus 11'.

No I didn’t. That’s different and refers to the healthiest specimens within a species surviving and passing their genes to future generations. But what I argued was that it’s not the job of one species to lookout for the wellbeing of another species.

As for the rest of your paragraph above… it’s a load of bollocks you’ve misled yourself into. :?

If that wasn't the case then why do scientists make efforts to save endangered species? If no one cares as you say then why they do it?

Misled myself into it ? If you are naive and without knowing you defend the slaughtering of millions of animals that doesn't mean that it is not true.

Just watch this documentary: http://www.earthlings.com/

But i'm sure you won't cos it's bollocks right?

I don’t know, you’ll have to ask them because Mother Nature does not intend for species to save other species.

You could argue that man’s emotional properties have evolved and gotten the better of him; some people are convinced that we are the “managers” of Mother Nature but that of course is utter nonsense!

If Mother Nature decides that we need more stag beetles then lo and behold stag beetles will suddenly increase in number and no matter how many experiments we conduct we will never be able to have any serious effect on the numbers of this species like Mother Nature can.

Misled myself into it ? If you are naive and without knowing you defend the slaughtering of millions of animals that doesn't mean that it is not true.

I did not defend nor condemn anything… it’s just you jumping to conclusions like all inexperienced debaters.

Just watch this documentary: http://www.earthlings.com/

:? If you've already passed judgment on my impression of that documentary then there's no point in me seeing it.
