How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

am a little perplexed as to where the TC leadership is taking the regime really. They are backing Turkey on the political and military domain. Yet they are acting against Turkey's economic interests in other domains. I am sure Erdogan is not happy to have to subsidise the regime on such issues. But then again it is meeting Turkey's tactics in Cyprus and indeed the the rgion.

Vatan "newspaper" in the Occupied Areas reports that there was no internet and on the sabotage of supply lines...

"Moreover, because of the strike for an indefinite period of time in the “telecommunication authority”, telephones did not work from time to time yesterday and there was no internet connection in the entire occupied area of Cyprus.

The deputy technical director of KIB-TEK, Gurcan Erdogan issued a written statement yesterday noting that the electricity supply stopped in the occupied areas of Famagusta, Lefkosia, Trikomo and Karpass. He argued that the manner by which the breakdown happened showed that there is a high possibility of this being a result of sabotage. "

The ICEM has stepped in to support EL-SEN and opposes the rush to privatisation. In an ICEM news release issued on 20 January, the Global Union Federation said it disagreed with the government of Northern Cyprus’s decree, stating Northern Cypriot law to ban a strike runs counter to internationally recognised standards regarding the right to strike.

EL-SEN President Tuluy Kalyoncu said the move to import replacement workers was the wrong one. In a news report on 21 January, he said, “Our fight is a worthy one; our community’s survival depends on it. They think they can resolve this by bringing people in from abroad. It might work in the short term, but in the long term it will fail.”

...just adding this article to the thread, for the record.
