Hi Forum, Do i have the right to have the item replaced, because i just dont like it?
I have bought graphic card for my PC 10 days ago at e-shopcy, and want to replace it with another one(i would like to overpay for another one)
But, theay are telling me, that they cant take it back, cose i have opened the box, and they wont be able to sell it again

So who is right? What can i tell them ?

Given that the hardware is not faulty then it’s up to the company’s policy if they’re going to take it back. I for one would throw you out of the shop.

Nasty, nasty.

Well, yeah, specially if he already downloaded the software onto his PC and then came back to the shop to make an exchange for another software.

im actually dont know regarding Cyprus law, but in europe i can change the item, if im not satisfactory for me it says
"If the item you bought does not look or function as it was advertised, or if it is not satisfactory, you have the right to have the item replaced or to get your money back if the replacement was not completed in a reasonable time at no extra cost"

just want to check if it works in Cyprus

They probably made a ridiculous €10-15 profit from this sale and now they’re getting fucked around by this customer because he doesn’t like it!

He should’ve done his research prior to buying.

It's only if you buy online that you can return things simply because you've changed your mind or don't like them - and that is up to a maximum of 7 days cooling off period. Shops do not have to replace anything unless it is faulty but some might exchange for other goods. It's at their discretion, so you have to be nice. :)

The above statement doesn't say that you are entitled to your money back at the outset- only that the item can be replaced.

i dont have to)
Omg guys , i m asking about it , cose i dont know regarding pc components, but in Cyprus, i was changing glasses, clothes, watches e.t.c
just because i want to change it,
i.e i have bought a present for a friend(watches) but he would like to have another one, he simply going there, and asks that he want to replace
no problem

didn't have any problem before, and i dont have to explain why its not satisfactory, i dont have to say, that watches that i bought doesnt look good with my lovely tshirt or smth else right? i can even say that i feel bad aura coming from this new glasses, new watches brings me bad luck , i dont have erection as i used to on my new jeans. i dont have to say that

in europium shops you even have a different category for items "unpacked"

i changed my new guitar , just sad that i didnt fall in love with it

Anyway thanks for your responce,

But you opened it. That means it's technically 'used' so you cannot simply ask to 'replace' it. It's the same anywhere else in Europe.
