How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

it recognises Turkish Cypriots as a People, and it allows for other Persons equality with the same Rights to sustain their own identities as Nations, too.

it allows for Free Movement, Free Expression, and Free Association, because these Peoples can Unite, and as Cypriots identify with a broader concern as Human Beings, as Individuals, without discrimination.

it ends the possibility of the ugly proxy war that we are subjected to today, and it offers to the rest of the world political tools that are presently lacking, so that as a definition for Bicommunal, as Persons/as Individuals, there are values that can be held in high esteem and emulated.

This is just a smoke screen for your real intention which gives the "people" power to the GCs and leaves us the "people" TCs at their mercy...no thanks this will never happen because we will not allow it.

Are you not transferring people from Gcs and TCs into "people" to do away with ethnic origin distinction?

...not at all.

...i am making a distinction between the forces within our own cultures that promote intolerance and corruption for there own gain. i seek to isolate this malice

seriously, what is wrong if there are Jurisdictional Territories, one of them being Turkish, where Turcophones direct their own daily lives?

what is wrong with people living in a Jurisdictional Territory whether they are of any etnnicity because they choose to live as a Turcophone.

Yes, a country called Cyprus where everyone gets one vote, where we stand as Individuals without an ethnic distinction, because as Human Beings we stand united to defend the Principals that are dear to all of us. And within this country respect for people as Persons, National Assemblies, each with an electorate that is committed to its own distinct identity, to sustain and to nurture it with respect because they, as a Majority recognise and provide for the special needs of the Minorities that live amongst them. this, is Bicommunal.

like Nation and State, we must make a great leap forward, and define them as ideals that are not one and the same, and that within a State, where Universal Principals are cherished, many Nations strive for their own survival, acknowledging that in this each have the same needs. this is the commitment we made to the rest of Mankind.

it is possible in Cyprus, and it is entirely probable. there is nowhere else where this boldness can be demonstrated with such effect. it is our way of giving in gratitude for the Freedom we will have.

show me where in the ROC constitution that your people signed and walked out on, it states that the Gc and Tc are equal partners and have equal say in the running of Cyprus....when your people were given 30 percent of the congress it shows that you accepted the role of a minority......even though you were only 18 percent and now probably only 8 percent....

You are correct about the 70/30 balance but the fact that your constitution gives us veto rights makes us equal. Why do you not want to be equals? is it to get the upper hand?

I second all of the above!

I think VP is confused about who ROC is. He thinks ROC is Turkey, where not all citizens are treated equally, minorities are crushed, foreign religion groups are fair game etc. Perhaps, to VP, All Turkey does is normal, but to us is nothing short of atrocities. This is the main reason many Europeans don't want Turkey to join... simply, the Turks will never behave like the rest of Europe. To them, only Turks can live there, all others are scum and must be crushed.

So TCS expect the same from us... what they are used to for the past 38 years... oppression, intimidation and the such.
As long as TCs are under Turkish heel they will suffer till they are wiped out. So be it.

georgios never say never. and if you agree fight with me, keep up the fight against the intolerance that has no ethnic identity.

...more importantly, Turkey (and other States) need the thinking that has welled up from our dialog and is reflected in the manifesto that i have proposed. but it must be established here, in Cyprus, and proven to be the perfect solution to the Problem for it to be emulated by others.

thank-you for your support, cheers!

Are you a communist? as this reeks of the commi we are all one and equals lets share everything equally crap. You cannot get rid of the distinction between the two sides overnight, you will only push it underground where it will erupt over time..this is a very dangerous game to play. Unity will only come from trust which we have none of at the moment as our past is clear for all to see.

SO you are using democracy to get the upper hand and take away our rights as per the 1960 agreements, thanks for accepting what we always knew and you denied.

We have not experienced any such thing with the Turks, they have been our only ally over the past 60 years, they gave us a country allbeit unrecognized, they even fund us for gods sake, it was far far worse trying to live with you "people". Your handling of the TCs has been far from prefect so its like the kettle calling the pot black.
