Not at all, but as was the problem in the past GCs should include the TCs not exclude them, the shadow government idea to me is a way forward but you would have problems getting the majority of GCs to accept this idea.

To me, there is no GCs or TCs... Just Cypriots living on the island. Nobody is excluded.
If you still want to call yourself Cypriot then talk to me... why do you let Turkey talk on your behalf?
Claim the island as a Cypriot that you are, not as a Turk. After all, you are entitled to all Cyprus has to offer,
just as we are. Why the middleman?

Lets not go there as we will never agree anything, the middleman arrived due to our past, the we are all Cypriots thing just does not stick we have lived apart for to long and developed in different ways we did not build Cypriotism when we had the chance that takes time and a great deal of goodwill which we have never displayed towards each other due to our viewpoints from each side of the divide.

The only way to get the middleman to leave is by the Tcs and Gcs working together to build understanding and trust otherwise we continue as we are forever.

Here is what I think. Instead of waiting to hammer down a solution and after that the middleman goes home, we should do exactly the opposite.
The solution will come if the middleman leaves PRIOR to the settlement.

This might sound crazy to you but in reality it's the right thing to do. Why is that, you might ask.

It's because the middleman is in the middle of the talks, impeding them, hence no solution for 37 years.
Turkey, as we all know except you, does not want a solution. Turkey's long term plans are to annex the north and at the same time, get rid of the TC population all together. The TCs are a nuisance for Turkey. Turkey would be better off annexing the north WITHOUT the current TC population. I am sure you understand why.

Turkey is not a charity organization. Turkey does not financially support the north because the TCs are nice guys or nice Turks. On the contrary.
Turkey's plan are beyond your expectations. Trust me. You guys are very small potatoes, a mere neighbourhood of Ankara. Nobody cares about you.

That's why the middleman has no intention of going home. He is home. He is there to stay forever. Believe it!

Having said that, it is obvious, no confidence building between us really matters. As a result, if you accept all of the above, you should refrain from calling yourself a Cypriot and practice the word Turk, pure and simple. All of this is a product of the fact that you are seeking refuge for "protection" from mother Turkey. Your choice, not mine.

If, on the other hand, you still want to call yourself Cypriot, then make a move. Act like a Cypriot. Protect your origin. Send the middleman back and sit down with us the finalize a deal. Who knows, you just might be better off this way...
