To me, there is no GCs or TCs... Just Cypriots living on the island. Nobody is excluded.
If you still want to call yourself Cypriot then talk to me... why do you let Turkey talk on your behalf?
Claim the island as a Cypriot that you are, not as a Turk. After all, you are entitled to all Cyprus has to offer,
just as we are. Why the middleman?

If TCs really believe that 40,000 Turkish troops are stationed in the north to "protect" them, then they're ignorant fools and they deserve to become extinct.

If GCs think that if the TA leaves all their problems will be over they are stupid scum who deserve to lose their land forever. (two can play at your game)

How does that work? The Turkish army is the only force that keeps GCs from reclaiming their land in the north. TCs don't exactly have any legal rights in the north to fall back on, do they?

Lets not go there as we will never agree anything, the middleman arrived due to our past, the we are all Cypriots thing just does not stick we have lived apart for to long and developed in different ways we did not build Cypriotism when we had the chance that takes time and a great deal of goodwill which we have never displayed towards each other due to our viewpoints from each side of the divide.

The only way to get the middleman to leave is by the Tcs and Gcs working together to build understanding and trust otherwise we continue as we are forever.

Why not my family has a lot of property in the north from pre 1974, there are many TCs in the same position...just imagine the mayhem if the TA left, GCs would all start to run back as you yourself claim to fight for the properties they abandoned in 1974. Unthinkable.

The only ones who fear the withdrawal of the Turkish army are the looters. They have everything to fear. So they should.

...vp, i come from a "mixed" village. we have taken care of each other for hundreds of years. many in my village who are Turcophone still have close relations with their Grecophone neighbours, even with the interlocutors and the attempt to tear us apart. Your argument is not valid.

Who's the social misfit now? How can we involve you if you do not want to be involved?

I also do not believe that TC trust the Turkish army. The TC's voted yes to the AP because they are sick and tired of living in isolation. What the TC's did not bank upon was that the GC's have gotten used to the fact they have no control over their properties and as such will take the risjk to say we want a democratic solution and no more ethnic discrimination.

It's not a question of people living apart. It's a question of reclaiming what legally belongs to us.
