Davutoglu has reportedly revealed Turkeys Plan B for two independent states in Cyprus

Under the title Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu: The bi-zonal solution will be abandoned, Turkish Cypriot daily Haberdar (11.01.12) cites diplomatic sources and reports that the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu has said that the bi-zonal bi-communal solution model in Cyprus, will be abandoned in case the negotiations process comes to a deadlock because of the stance of the Greek Cypriots.

Addressing a meeting of Turkish Ambassadors held in Ankara, Davutoglu has reportedly noted that if this happens, a solution model based on two independent states will be adopted by the Turkish side instead of a bi-zonal bi-communal solution. He argued that the negotiations, which will be launched in the future, will be based on two independent states...

Turkey would love to turn the Cyprus GC-TC problem into another Israel-Palestine problem where the International community would go along with a two-state solution as in the case of the latter, but I'm not so sure the same could be said about Cyprus, specially after 2004 when Cyprus became an EU member. But then again, Turkey is left with very little options when it comes to Cyprus. She has completely painted herself into a political corner and is searching desperately ways to get out of it and save face at the same time. This will be another self induced failed attempt, no doubt, because Turkey cannot afford to have a two state settlement if she does not have any rights to control over the whole island. The AP was her saviour which had Plan A and B combined in one. When Turkey talks about Plan B, they are actually talking about Plan A, which was the AP. It's just that, Plan A, aka AP, was very disguised and was presented as a "peace settlement", when in actuality, it was not. It should have been presented as a "piece settlement" instead, which was much closer to the truth. Now we can see Turkey's Plan B undisguised, which was already known to many already in 2004. Is there anyone who is surprised with what the Plan B is today? Anyone!

...much acrimony about plan B, and then elections.

in Turkey, likely, the electorate will be whipped into a frenzy. war will be the noble word, not just for the benefit of their brethren in Cyprus, but for the benefits of gas and oil. Their Continental Shelf will be defined to cover the territory of the whole island, and extend swallowing Syria's interests as well as the Palestinian's. We'll see Russia and the US, along with the EU as partners against the Turks and their allies (mainly China, and other middle countries). with the brink of war, other motives will appear, like Afghanistan, which will become a second front as Pakistan and Turkey attempt to usurp this territory as well.

...plan C, WW III.

Until it is paid for, you do not own anything, which means, you cannot build a solid future on such unstable ground, or else, it will be nothing but "House of Cards"

And you still don't own it after so many years, just like a criminal sentence to life in prison also does not own the jail he stays in either, despite spending most of his life in it till death!
