1. Speeding tickets in the North takes ages to work through the system.
2. The cameras don't flash.
3. There is no margin for error for speeding i.e a 65kph camera operates at 65kph.
4. They want paying by GC's at the crossing as they don't have a TRNC address to issue the ticket to.

Our cameras are miles better, gardash. They are there, but they do not work. Kind of pseudo cameras, if you know what I mean.

You can buy the Infra Red detectors as well, which beep at you as you approach a hair dryer, or speed trap and camera.

You can get them in Western Australia, and you will need an Auto Electrician to install it under the hood. Legal there but illegal everywhere else.

Be warned though, if the cops catch you with one, you might get into some trouble. But the way they are installed, is quite discreet. 8)

but their equipment will pick it up...the only comfort s that it's outsourced meaning the coppers don't man these cameras...it's up to the operator if he wants to dope you in or not...if he is on the ball game that is...usually they are asleep from boredom...

radar detectors a defenite no no...the coppers will know you got one straight away and they will impound your car unless you show them where it is...

i will check the link anyway...thanks...

when you coming to melbourne again?...

I will have to ask about that one. Not really sure, but was told they emit low watts or something and apparently the truckies use them. You are probably right. They probably can detect them but choose to not worry about it. I guess that changes when you come across the wrong guy.

Be in Melbourne on the 28th.
