Foreigners take CY jobs

Finance Minister Kikis Kazamias said in December that the jobless total has reached unprecedented levels, blaming the presence of workers from other EU member-states as the reason, with Sylikiotis pointing the finger at Bulgaria and Romania as being responsible for an influx of workers to Cyprus.

By blaming unemployment on foreigners this "politician" exposes himself as just another obscure nobody with the mindset of a peasant. Actually, a peasant once removed, since country people are usually hospitable to guests in their country.

Maybe foreigners got your jobs coz u do not like so much to work...better to spend ur time betting, playing in casino, or driving ur tuned car all the day.
Remember that there are people who like, who really need to work, and they work!
Then, there are cypriots...

No, that's the easy explanation of a simplistic mind.

The reason foreigners took our jobs is because our filthy politicians are bribed by the rich (and infamous  ) to freely let cheap labor into CY.
The outcome is a rapid increase of unemployment.

The reason is easy: cheap labor. Average salaries in some Eastern European countries are much lower than those in Cyprus so people from those countries are willing to accept less money for the same kind of work. This benefits the workers in the poorer Eu countries and of course the capitalists who can get cheaper labor ;) I think there should be a quota to the amount of EU workers that can move to an EU country as a percentage of the population. If a million EU workers move to UK that is like 2% of the population there. If a million Eu workers move to Cyprus that is 200% of the population...there should be a limit somewhere!
