It's time to kick out the foreign pest that is taking our jobs. We've enough trouble with the Turks stealing our land.
B*gger off!

Perhaps CY could leave the EU, it would then be free to kick out as many foreigners as it saw fit but until that point the four freedoms hold, unless Cy has transitional provisions regarding Bulgaria and Romania but it doesn't.

There was an interesting remark in the CY mail about the role of the unions is making Cyprus uncompetitive. That is what one has to look at at: no one is going to buy Cypriot Goods and/or Services if they can be delivered more economically beneficial way i.e. cheaper from elsewhere.

This applies to every country and the reason pretty much everything is made in China.

Not if they are of superior quality. The unions have nothing to do with this.

Mercs and Beemers aren't cheap. (they're unreliable crap from 10 years of experience, but that's besides the point)
But that doesn't stem the global prestigious perception and interest.

I have the impression, maybe wrong but I'm saying it with goodwill, that there's no national strategy for promoting Cypriot Goods and/or Services. If I'm wrong, could anyone (Cy resident or citizen) name three world known Cypriot brands, or category of products/services (like wine for France)? I feel it's wrong and such a pity that when you mention Cyprus to others, either they ask you where it is, or "oh, the Cyprus issue..."...

I agree that it is wrong, they should get a better education and show more interest in the world, instead of reading the Sun and watching Eastenders!

Remember that there are people who like, who really need to work, and they work!
Then, there are cypriots...

The Cypriots you're referring to, are the one's with Greek brains.

Those are Ottoman Greeks you are talking about and the sooner they are deported back to Albania, the better! :)
