Good idea, however it is not necessary to not make your plans known in order to give yourself time to find an alternative/replacement so you can faze out the dead weight. This is what I beleive the EU has done with great schrewdness. if I am correct, Turkey will find out the hard way without the EU having to put their point across in not so certain terms to the Turks or in a way that portrays that the EU actually cares about their attitude. its their loss.
