DVD ripper

I am currently using windows DVD maker and it takes up to 2 hours to rip one movie, I cant use windows media player as you know it does not support ripping anymore , I googled free ripping programs and found one called Winx DVD rip but I dont like it.. any advice one what program is best to use?

I use http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_dvd/.
It's very cheap at $39.95 and can convert any format as well as rip video from websites into any other format as well as optimise the video for almost every device (iPhone, Android, Blackberry etc).
I too almost look for free programs but at the end of the day you get what you pay for and this purchase was money well spent.
