Hi, is anyone else paying for broadband speed there not getting, it seems Cyta's broadband speed is all over the place one minute it up next it's down, I do regular speed tests and I dont think I have ever got 3meg.
We pay for 3meg and we are only getting half that which means if you want to watch uk tv on the internet the speed is not adequate so the programs just keep re-buffering, to download a movie from itunes takes 4 hours, this cant be right :x .

ADSL speed is never stable, sometimes you get more sometimes less. Your speed also depends on the server you connect. But if you never get the 3Mbps you are paying for then there must a problem. How far are you from the Cyta Exchange? And by the way 3Mbps might not be enough for HD (even 720p) streaming of movies. And when you watch UK TV do you watch it directly or through a VPN or proxy? Because VPNs and Proxies will reduce your speed.

Thanks for replys, I have been in touch with Cyta but when they will fix it I don't know, we do watch uk tv with vpn and its been fine untill we lost our 3meg, I have done dozens of speed tests today and average today was about 1.6meg, we dont watch HD movies just normal one's down loaded from itunes but with my speed being so low it will not play.
Not sure if I should ditch Cyta and go with primtel im in Limassol but up the Troodos dose any one know if primtel are any good.
