To answer your question, Kangaroo Island is part of Australia, and so the inhabitants are Australian. Just like the inhabitants of Cyprus are Cypriot. What else can they be?

No mate. Only a small weak country would accept part of its territory to come under the sovereignty of somebody else. And that is exactly what the British and the Turks wanted us to be. A small weak separate country that they could continue to abuse. The Americans have bases in Crete but they are not sovereign. The Greek people have the right to close down those bases. This right was removed from us and the British took full control of 2 parts of our island.

We were made to accept the terms given to us Piratis because we were silly enough to fight a superpower. I will not knock the sacrifice made of many brave EOKA, but the alternative was to request independence and offer the UK 2 bases on lease that are not sovereign. Obviously, in 1955 they would refuse, but by 1965 they would not refuse and they would have given us that independence.

If we want to have a separate country, a separate national anthemn, to create a separate ethnicity etc, that should be OUR decision that should come out of our free will. It's also like some TCs actually believe they are Turkish, when in actual fact they are Cypriot Muslim converts during the Ottoman period and are not Turkish at all.
