Definitely, and worse. However, go and do your own research and when you have an understanding of electoral systems come back and talk to us. Reading some history (not propaganda) might help you as well.

As obnoxious as some of the posts have been, I found the answers quite informative. Perhaps you can direct me towards the next bit of information I am after the list of constituencies and the individual results for each one for that election.

Now here is an interesting fact, strangely the system used in Cyprus is open list proportional representation. Which is actually exactly the same in the north.

Now how did the result in 1960 produce 86% seats for 56% of the vote and 14% of the seats for 35% of the vote.

With so much democracy did we really expect the Republic to function?

You are an idiot, it was explained to you before that in 1960 the electoral system was not open list proportional representation.
