Cyprus Mail.

Postby Ron Doran » Fri Dec 30, 2011 5:45 am

So, it seems that after complaints of non delivery of post, with Cyprus blaming UK and Greece, 1000 sacks of mail from early to mid December have suddenly appeared.
And who admits to negligence.........?

I have a PO Box and the Mailbox for my flat.

I don't think that a week has gone by without me receiving someone else's mail in both.
At least twice a month, my mail has ended up in someone else's PO Box and Mailbox downstairs.

Technically i'm still on top, compared to the other guys i get the mail from...

Postal service is pretty damn incompetent here.. Everyone knows that. That's why people get PO Boxes... But even then.... Stick to email and parcel service

In your case you should also get a brain transplant.

No one has been receiving mail from the UK, so it's more likely a UK problem.

At least I thought so till I checked, now it appears Royal Mail are stating they sent it, Cyprus are saying they didn't receive it.

I finally received parcels 28 days after posting, Amazon deliveries still not arrived, so they have sent me another, that's ok.

As for who is at fault, difficult to work out. But I do know the one day ATC strike caused a big backlog. I,m sure one day truth will out. I do know that all areas of the UK were affected coming into Cyprus, which is strange that all areas of the Royal Mail were inefficient. Post was arriving from US, Canada etc though.

As we know many many flights in and out of Cyprus now have changed to one stop or two stop flights! A piggin nightmare! Just endured one to Prague over Christmas, never again. Mail gets put on these indirect flights maybe? Then gets lost. On my four day Christmas break to Prague we visited albeit briefly four countries in four days! Trying to find a direct flight to the UK from LCA next month that isn't over £800 there is precisely one!! Everything else is one stop two stops or even three!

Not just from the UK. My daughter sent Christmas presents mid November from the USA and they arrived last week. The customs added tax on since one of the items was a bracelet for her 10 year old sisters. What a bunch of plonkers. Still waiting on many items ordered from ebay and Amazon. As for the mixed up mail I rarely get my own, but regularly get others in my box. I complained to the postman and the next day I got a bundle of mail bound together with a rubber band with a variety of addresses on them. Still rarely see my mail! I even got others credit cards, unfortunately not their pin numbers! :o Welcome to the African section of Europe.

As suggested, check your medication if you still 'feel' you are not receiving mail that someone 'said' they sent you ...

As for the youtube; that's English the little boy is speaking as he strengthens his legs. Wonder which slave-seeking Brit taught him both? :D
