Moron, if you care to look you will see that when that story was first reported, there was a show of disgust here.

The hypocrisy lies in the fact that the bash patriots rush to make sweeping judgements when a terrible event happens in Turkey and condemn a whole nation. When it happens in Cyprus, it is just an isolated event for them that does not tarnish the image of Cyprus. I just cannot go along with this. There are sick people in all countries and in all forums, if I may add.

The saddest aspect if this story is how this girl had turned to the police for protection. Yet they were the ones who delivered her back to the family to complete the honour killing.
Why?
Because Turkey and Islamic culture still respect and practice "honour killings" - above and beyond the background levels of killings by twisted individuals, which are equally represented in all societies.

Have you heard of the three TC youths (15-17 year old) from Arediou who were taken by the police from their homes in order to "protect" them and they are still missing? That was our police and they can certainly be just as cruel as the Turkish police but of course we would rather deal with Turkey's woes than ours. Have you heard of the GC father who sexually abused his daughter ever since she was 5 year old? It is in the news today. That was a sick individual, just as sick as the policeman who sent her back to the family to be murdered.

But, what is more sick, is people like you who look to gain political points from the agony and misery of people who suffer from outmoded practices in a backward part of Turkey. This makes you extremely happy because you think that your point of view about Turkey is well illustrated from such events. You cannot get more sick than this.
