Don't think so my friend.
Firstly, Australian A League soccer is pretty huge with massive sponsorship and TV Deals and that is the same with Basketball. Also, most Australian Players actually play in the NBA. And with probably the world's biggest media company behind it on all fronts pouring money into all the TV Deals (Rupert Murdoch), I think you're friggin dreaming. The guy is paying $80 million per year for the TV Rights which get's split by the clubs.
I don't think there is much comparison at all seeing as though the A League and MLS are some of the biggest leagues in the world now and seeing as though they are signing players on multi million dollar deals. FOX Sports and FOX TV mate. One club alone has 28,000 members and season ticket holders and another team is building their own 35,000 seat stadium. One team is actually owned by Manchester City and another by Borrussia Dortmund with regular player swaps from the Premier League and Bundesliga such as Finkler and other current German National Team Players.
Average Cypriot and greek crowds - wait for it - 3,500 fans. Mate, more people turn up to an Aussie School fete than that.
But what ever makes you feel better.

Do you really think Melbourne City, Adelaide United are better than the top cypriot teams?.
