I'm merely re-stating what some Turkish commentators are demanding:

Turkish deep state and Greek forest fires

On the Turkish side, I hope that Turkey can carry out an independent and transparent investigation into these allegations, which could lead to the punishment of all those responsible for these attacks. The country should also compensate any Greek losses...

Good luck to those who plan to investigate something that may have happened in Ciller's days...

During the same interview Yilmaz admitted also the funding of a coup in Azerbaijan.
So, we have arson, staging of coups in foreign countries, recently revealed funding of murders of Armenians and Kurds in Turkey and in European Countries, threats and blackmails against Cyprus, Greece and Israel, violation of every single paragraph of the Law of the Sea, threats of war against any country which will not consent to share it's resources with Turkey, violation of the International Law and of all the resolutions of the UN about Cyprus, violation of the human rights of the citizens of Turkey and of all Cypriots etc. etc.

I wonder: What more does it take for a country to be expelled from the UN? What more must it's leaders do or admit in order to be indicted for crimes against humanity?

Just a while ago I heard on TV that a Turkish journalist made additional and specific revelations about both arson as well as bombings in Greece executed by Turkish thugs on the instructions of the Turkish thug government when that wh... Chiler was the PM of the Thug state. His article is supposed to be in Milliyet but he repeated the report also on CNN Turk this morning as well.
Please send info in whoever can. I am sure VP would be happy to oblige us all :D

Get Real, old pal. The Greeks know who committed those fires. In 1996 the Turkish criminal and right-wing extremist Haluk Kirci admitted to arson attacks against neighbouring countries. Also, after the forest fires on Chios in 1996 four Turks were arrested in relation to the arson, only they were deported to Turkey after orders from Athens. The pathetic government in Athens at the time considered the policy of friendly relations with Turkey more important than holding to account those responsible for the arson attacks.

The Greeks have known along - which is a scandal in itself - but were in denial thinking Turkey was now a friend who really wanted peace in Cyprus and the Aegean. How dumb can you be? At least now the truth is out. Maybe Greece can pass on the names of the arsonists to Turkey and help them investigate this matter?

Turkish arsonists were arested even in Crete in 1996 and again deported. According to an article of Turkish reporter Can Dundar, the arsons in Greece were answered with forest fires in Turkey (near the Agean shores) and finally a truce was agreed between the secret servises of the two countries. The article is reported by defencenet.gr to have been published in Milliyet yesterday.

Turkish daily cites report supporting wildfire claims

Turkish daily Milliyet published an article on Thursday referring to a secret report that seemed to support claims made in a recent interview by former Turkish Prime Minister Mesut Yilmaz that secret agents had caused forest fires in Greece in the 1990s.

According to Milliyet, an associate of Yilmaz’s, Kutlu Savas, compiled a 12-page report that detailed the actions of Turkish agents in Greece.

It described how the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) had formed two teams -- one which carried out bombings at tourist sites on Crete and other parts of Greece and another which was responsible for starting the wildfires.

An attack on an army camp in Lamia, central Greece, is also mentioned.

TURK ARSON
shocking claims that Turks burnt Greek forests***.
News in English, of 04/06/1996

The Greek government intends to ask Turkey to explain what's behind reports that Turkey's secret services burnt forests on Greek islands.
The shocking admission that Turkish underworld figures methodically burnt Greek forests was made by a Turkish parliamentarian.

In a TV interview, Sentat BoutsAk, an MP for Tansu Ciller's Correct Path party, makes the shocking claim that the Turkish secret services and special forces are behind the systematic burning of the forests on the Greek islands.

Boutsak was riding in the same car as a policeman and right-wing underworld figure Abdullah TsatlI, when the latter was killed in an accident.

Boutsak claims that TsatlI took part in Turkish sabotage operations to burn Greek forests.

The day after Boutsak's interview allegations, the right-wing Turkish paper YenI SafAk carried the title, "We Burnt Rhodes". All copies of that edition of the paper were themselves burnt up in a fire at the paper's offices, of unknown cause.

Boutsak is the leader of a group of Kurds loyal to the Turkish state. Thousands of his Kurds staff the Turkish national guard.

It has been claimed that setting fires is one of the methods used by the special forces to get Kurds to abandon their villages.

The claims about TsantlI are only the latest in a series of revelations tying right-wing nationalist underworld organisations like the Grey Wolves to the state. Some claim the alleged bond between the Turkish state and the extremist groups was created in response to the Kurdish problem.

As for Abdullah TsatlI, Tanus Ciller defends him, saying that all Turks will always remember those who bear arms or are wounded in the service of their country.

Ciller opponent Mesout Gilmaz says Ciller is trying to cover up the activities of right-wing groups.

Responding to the report about the Greek forests, alternate Greek foreign minister Giorgos Papandreou says the revelations are "worrying, because Boutsak's statements constitute evidence of criminal acts of sabotage by Turks in Greece". Papandreou adds that the Greek government will ask Turkey for a full explanation.

Greek government spokesman Dimitris Reppas says Greece has some evidence that some forest fires are acts of carefully-planned-out sabotage. Turks have been suspected of carrying out acts against Greece for some time.

Two bombs went off in Rhodes in July of 1994. They were a blow to toursim on the popular island. Five days later, a forest fire broke out on the island of Samos. Then public order minister Stelios Papathemelis said he had information that Turkish extremists carried out such acts.

Following the latest developments, Athens wants to hear what the Turkish authorities have to say. Reppas doesn't rule out at this point that the whole story could just be a part of political games being played in Turkey.
