Both Greek and Turkish troops should depart

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

"1) Cyprus being in NATO can coexist without any foreign NATO forces actually being in Cyprus.

2) If Cyprus is to become a democracy, then decisions about her future should be conducted democratically. Thats the way it should be."

1)in a ideal sitution yes but cyprus in the last 40 years has been hardly ideal,in the future maybe yes all cypriot force within a a eu/nato structure.but you need time for that.

2)cyprus is a democracy never said or implied otherwise.

You are making excuses, if Cyprus was democratic from day one she would not be in this sitution today.

if Cyprus was democratic today, then the CyProb would be resolved very, very quickly indeed and the whole country would be looking to move forward and makee progress as one.

I am happy for all your suggestions to be put forward to all "Cypriots" in a referrendum. Whatever the majority of "Cypriots" want, thats what all "Cypriots" will get. (ref: no need to fight)

If the majority agree with your idea about 'Nato bases in Cyprus' then your idea wins and it gets implemented, if not, its the next dominant idea. (ref: democratic)

There is no intention to be vague, Does this help all sides? (ref: democracy)

So what's the difference between Halil and VP.

Why is Halil calling for them to go and VP calling for them to stay.

It has something to do with the realisation from Halil that all his children have fled the occupied territory and the fact the VP has nothing to loose but her entire identity?
