Bananiot says Eroglu wants partition, not so, considering how Eroglu was quick to point out that the north has equal rights to the resources discovered in the EEZ of the south. When it comes to taking, Eroglu, and Turkey in general, are full speed for a unified Cyprus. It is in the giving that they have a problem.
As for the UN, they passed resolutions calling for wihtdrawal of troops, return of displaced persons and a host of other politically correct moves to be made and did nothing to bring them about. They also promote plans which incorporate clear violations of their own high principles and legalise international crimes, ie colonisation, and the perpetuation of land expropriation and ethnic cleansing. And Downer cannot see why the GCs think he is an asshole!
Let us see him give the GCs twice as much of something than their population ratio justifies, and see if the TC press will vilify him. There is a challenge for a clever Australian!
