We have no problem becoming a minority with Turks because we have Turkish origins but we will never ever accept becoming a minority amongst GCs in a GC state, thats why we support a BBF with political equality of the 2 states.

Ooooh Thank you A, very nice post,.... meh ebbeesees file.

VP.... yes, we would have a very nice convergence if you would confirm that the 5 years was an initial derogation at the start of the settlement process, so that after this transitional 5 year period there would be no further restrictions on CY Nationals moving and residing freely as of right.

We have take off..... 8)

Oooooh , nicey, nice, nice ... perhaps in the New Year, we can move on to see if we can find convergences in other areas VP?

You are once again trying to mislead people with your infamous "Malta Model" baloney.

How many more times do I need to tell you, that the Malta derogation model was not for it's own Maltese citizens to try and violate their Freedom of Movement within Malta, but to limit the number of EU Citizens that can move to Malta, which required them first to obtain a job offer in Malta before moving there. You cannot ask for derogation to put a limit on Cypriots to violate their Freedom of Movement within the island. They will have the right to move anyplace they want and as citizens of Cyprus, they will be able to vote respectively in local elections, statewide elections and nationwide elections from wherever they live, as well as run for office. You cannot impose an apartheid type of system through the EU derogation, however, Cyprus will be able to use the Malta model against Turkey in the future if and when they will ever become an EU member, most probably in my next lifetime!

Sometimes I get the feeling that you are not the same "Viewpoint" person who left CF for couple of months before coming back to the CF with a grand announcement. I can tell from the method of your writings as well as your "forgetfulness" of previously discussed topics, no matter how hard you may try to disguise yourself to make us believe that you are a same person under the title of "Viewpoint". We all know that "Viewpoint" is not a person, but rather a propaganda entity for the "trnc" with different versions of "Viewpoints" coming and going. I believe you are now the VP 3.0 version to have appeared here on the CF in the last 5 years or so.

Yes, a temporary period of derogation of 5 years from Settlement Day is not unreasonable. Suspect we would all agree that in practise very few people would relocate anyway, from one zone to the other, although there may be more movement in to the southern zone ... well there def won't be a mad rush to move in next door to VP from Day 1.

The EU will prob give as many temporary derogations as the settlement needs, up to say the initial 5 years again, but no perm derogations.

"Malta Model" is not a derogation against it's citizens but against EU Citizens. What part of this do you not understand?

Talking about the freedom of movement in Malta is like talking about the freedom of movement in a bedroom closet!

What else can you say when you are found out?

Can you explain to us why it was necessary for you to make a grand announcement that "Viewpoint" was back on the forum after couple of months of absence. After all, you never mentioned anything about leaving the forum for any period of time, so it was not as if you were kicked off the forum by the Admin. So what was with all the grandiose re-entry to the forum if it wasn't for us to think old VP 2.0 version was now back again, when in fact, we had a new VP 3.0 version instead. I know, because I can tell from the different style of writing from VP 2.0 version vs. VP 3.0 version.
