Melomakarouna!!!! i havent had a good one in ages

Recipe, please :D

(Don't know what it is but sounds pasta-ish - so, yum-yum :D )

Melomakarouno, those brown xmas greek cookies, i cant believe you havent heard of them, there is another word for them "finikia".......i dont know the recipe but my mother's were the best

I do know them, but used to call them melanokarvouna (black coals). I think we're both slightly wrong :) Anyway, they are delicious. My mum used to sprinkle them with chopped walnuts and cinnamon, and then soak them in warm honey with rose water. We had them on New Year's Eve.
Yup, I think I'm in the mood for some too! :D

Its not me Its the bloody keyboard the letters wind me up lol
My bestest smoothie is mango tropical, It is a fresh mix of mango fruit, pineapple fruit, frozen yoghurt, honey, banana fruit, all mixed together with dead cold fresh orange juice (all fruits have to be frozen)!!! mmm yummy yummy
You can mix any frozen fruits you wants! strawberries, banana, kiwis, blueberries and fresh orange juice and lots of frozen yoghurt also tastes so fresh !

Thanks fort the recipes everyone. :D

Figgy has certainly put me in the mood for those refreshing (non-alcoholic) smoothies - which might just spice up nicely for the festive season from a splash of my favourite tipple of the moment - Emva Cream - the Queen of Cyprus Sherries. :)

As for the melanokavrouna - isn't it embarrasing when your nearest and dearest don't bother to point out your (childhood) mistakes

Thanks, Yialousa and Kimon, for those recipes. I am definitively going to make kourambiedes as well now because there are no Greek bakers around for hundreds of miles.
