Spain had problems with the Basque before joining the EU.

France had problems with Corsicans before joining the EU

Greece had a problem with Macedonia before joining the EU

Serbia has problems with Kosovo and still will join the EU.

Turkey has problems with ALL of Europe, which may be the reason as to why she will NOT be able to join the EU, and that's why she needed the Annan Plan to get her into the EU through the back door with the help the north state, that was to be established in 2004.

It will not all happen over night but once we have come to the end of the talks each side will pursue their own agenda and ours will be to relax the isolation and move closer and closer to recognition.
