They know exactly which planes land in the north, including their registration numbers. They will try these airlines in the RoC courts, say €50,000 Euros penalty per plane, per each violation, and have the planes confiscated at any EU airport if the fines are not paid. That could just be for starters of things to come to the north as long as the occupation goes, instead VP's hopes for the EU helping the north to improve itself.
Love to see that, go for it....show the world your strength in dealing with TCs.

You mean just like you didn't expect the Orams to lose in the British High court, because you believed there was a strong Expat lobby group in the north and that the British Courts wouldn't rule against one of their own.
Or did you mean the RoC couldn't arrest any EU citizen for crimes committed in the north, then Gary Robb ends up in RoC's jail after being extradited from his home country of UK.

Confiscating planes that are illegally landing in Cyprus has nothing to do with the TCs, specially since they are a small minority in the north against a majority Illegal Alien settlers. Perhaps you are under the impression that illegal plane landings are a routine on EU territories all over the EU, therefore the EU will prevent such actions by the RoC in the north. Fined/Confiscated planes would belong to mainly companies from Turkey. I mean, the TCs do not have their own airline, do they? Even when you thought they did in the past, it was still a Turkish operation with Turkish registration. But if the TCs wanted to have their own airline which is registered with the RoC, that would be something different and they may even be allowed to land in the north legally, providing of course, you have less employees running the company than passenger so not to go bankrupt again. Until then, TCs and EU citizens can always use the airports in the south, so where is the hardship for the minority TCs in the north?
