Where do we go after January 2012?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

You have given me a shopping list of items what the "trnc" needs from the EU, which will not get btw, because the TCs as individuals can get what they want either from the RoC or Turkey being the occupying power of the "trnc". Do not mix the needs of the "trnc" and the TCs for the EU to come and help, which is what you are failing to do!

Which of the above can we get from Turkey or the GCs that will assist us with becoming financially independent?

For as long as many GCs are brainwashed via the Greek-funded ministry of education, that they are “Greeks” then double enosis will remain on Cyprus.

The Cyprus problem is nurtured and prolonged in the primary and secondary schooling of Cyprus where citizens are processed through an ethnic manufacturing factory…

You put Cypriot meat in at one end and get Greek sausages out the other!

we love a gay GR just as much as we love a straight one ;)

Cypriotism needs to be promoted in all schools on either side of the divide.

Good luck to you and GR in your new relationship, I just hope GR's family/friends don't shun him because he's come out. Image

The EU cannot make you financially independent. The EU does not owe you a living. That you need to make it own your own, and in order for you to make it own your own, you need to agree to a settlement with the GCs and get yourself free form the Turkish Occupation. But since you want to use the Turkish Occupation as a "protection" and not agree to a settlement based on EU Principles, but instead stay dependent on Turkey's handout, the EU is not going to help the "trnc" in the hopes that the TCs will get some benefit in a trickle down effect. Until the TCs look to the RoC for a settlement, an EU member state as being their ONLY hope for a better future for them to become financially independent, specially benefiting from the future Gas & Oil, the EU alone will not benefit the TCs when they are holding onto the illegal "trnc". You cannot have your cake and eat it too, no matter how unfair you may think that is.

Not only that, you don't even have the choice or the possibility to go on your own to be independent from the RoC and become financially independent on your own, because a) you don't have the means to do so and b) even if you did, Turkey will not allow you to do so, which means, the RoC is your ONLY hope, one way or the other. The last 37 years should be enough proof for you to see where the TCs have been since the Turkish Occupation, where they are now, and where they are likely to go in the future without the RoC, which is nowhere fast! Bottom line is, don't expect the EU to help the TCs living under the "trnc" if the TCs are not willing to help themselves by getting rid of the illegal "trnc" and the illegal Turkish Occupation. Maybe it will take another 37 years before the penny drops for the TCs for them to realise that if they don't change the last 37 years, the next 37 years will be more of the same as the last!
