US House of Representatives bill 306 passes…

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

US House of Representatives bill 306 passes…

Postby Get Real! » Thu Dec 15, 2011 2:57 am

H. RES. 306

"Urging the Republic of Turkey to safeguard its Christian heritage and to return confiscated church properties."

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

June 15, 2011

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?c ... 112Tk578V::

NB: Include the two trailing colons in the link.

This seems to be a prelude to the Armenian Genocide bill and quite likely the handiwork of AIPAC out to punish Turkey.

Can or will the US force Turkey to abide by this? Probably not, but don’t be surprised if the EU throws this in as a goal in the appropriate EU accession chapter!

Expect Erdogan to have a fit and start saying stupid things again…

...does the bill recognise the fact that Greek Orthodox Priests are forbidden to study?

They're queuing up...

Turkey will recall its Ambassador from France if the National Assembly approves bill criminalizing Armenian Genocide denial on December 22.

“Unrecoverable consequences will affect all the fields of bilateral relations from recalling our Ambassador for consultations for an uncertain period from December 22. It depends on the vote in the French parliament,” spokesperson for Turkey’s Embassy in Paris Engin Solakoglu told AFP.

French parliament plans to vote on the bill introduced by Valerie Boyer which supposes one year imprisonment or fine amounting to 45,000 euro for denial of Armenian Genocide.

Seems the only thing turkey knows is to spit out its dummy.
Breaking ties with France, broken ties with Israel, broken ties with RoC. Yeah baby bring it on.
I wonder if they would still then consider turkey as a candidate country for the EU????
It's high time this EU took some firm action against turkey. Who will suffer the most if turkey backs out of France do you think??

So now we can have israeli AND French war ships on our side huh??? Our friends list is building up, oh happy days.

They are already there since long. The French sent a corvette in November, if I remember well. American maritime surveillance planes, taking of from Suda (Crete) are overflying the drilling zone daily. Israeli war planes are conducting daily drills and patrolls in the CY F.I.R., always with the official permission ofthe R.O.C. It is also known that the French have a "special agreement" withthe RoC regarding the use by their AF of the facilities of the AB of Paphos.
