What hypocrisy when you think of the GCs demanding enosis, now the shoe is on the other foot and the TCs are on the verge of enosis with Turkey they cry wolf, bloody hypocrites.

Gee. Thanks for telling me. BUT

But, further to that, how about commenting on the content of my posting??

PS: The word is "ambalatos" not "ambalados" (T isntead of a D).
Are you sure you are what you claim to be? Such a proud Cypriot Cypriot? Shouldn't you at least speak and write your GREEK CYPRIOT dialect correctly??

Obviously you're not a charlie. Thank God for that. :D

GR! is using the charlocypriot syllabary...found here... http://www.cypriotacademy.com/

Gobgiaste?

Is it from Gob and Giazo?
I thought it was from kopos (copos) - Kopiazo (copiazo). Well, it seems that progress has passed me by.
What a shame.

P.S. Isn't apocoftos or aneprocopos originated from Kopos or Copos (effort) as well?

What’s the problem Kimon, are you struggling with Cypriot? :?

Too many wet Spartan dreams have gotten your pea confused!

It’s spelt “Gobiaste” because that’s what it sounds like in speech and that’s the only (unwritten until now) “rule” when converting Greek to Roman characters so you’ll have to forget the Greek-gymnasium conversions you’ve picked up which are always wrong because these “Greeks” are genetically stupid and can’t pronounce English anyway.

I notice you post a fair amount of English spelling and grammar mistakes yourself so you need a tute more than most in English and Roman Cypriot!

Pay special attention to the differences between:

K > G Say “Gori” not “Kori” for girl.
T > D Say “Dora” not “Tora” for now.
P > B Say “Balavos” not “Palavos” for stupid.

PS: My wife and I are writing a book about the correct pronunciation of Cypriot with the single logical rule… write it just as it’s pronounced if foreigners are to correctly pick up the language, and others are to understand what you’re writing on the net, etc!

What's the point? You can just write it in Greek (Greek letters).
Wait a mo...I forgot you're allergic to anything Greek.

When you say I kori it is kori. But when you say tin kori, it turns into tigori (χάριν ευφωνίας).
I kori, tis koris, tgorin.
Same with Palavos. O palavos, ton-palavo which turns into tombalavo.
O pellos, tou pellou tompello (which sounds tobello) Oh pelle. Have you ever heard anyone saying "tou bellou" or calling you "bello". Isn't it "re vromopelle" that friends would call you?
I never heard any Cypriot saying dora for τωρά. Dora is for (Christmas and other) δώρα.
What a pity you have not gone to Gymnasium. You would have saved yourself from a lot of embarrassment.
I suggest to reconsider publishing that book of yours.

Nice pack of nonsense. Taking the Greek τ as an example there is no exact equivalent in Latin characters or in any other language. The same applies to all languages how could you e.g. ever turn into latin the 5 different German e's or the Turkish i (without dot).

For presents use "Thora" not "Tora" unless you're Jewish!

How can it be a pity when we keep seeing in here that Greek gymnasium graduates have the IQ of a constipated skunk?
