Huge statue to become visible from space
WASHINGTON - Agence France-Presse

ΔΙΚΕΦΑΛΟΣ.jpg

A massive statue of a double-headed eagle to be constructed at the eastern province of Erzurum’s sprawling new bus terminal will be visible from space, according to municipal authorities.

The construction of the figure, which is seen in historical artworks from the Selçuk period, has already started and will cost 10 million Turkish Liras. The symbol will cover an area of 2,000 square meters at the bus terminal.

Erzurum Mayor Ahmet Küçükler said bus terminals were like a city’s mirror reflection, “This is why we have initiated a modern bus terminal project. It will be finished in the near future. The double-headed eagle figure has a significant place in the city’s culture and you can see it in all the historical areas here; it is like the guardian angel of the city.”

The symbol will be the emblem of the city, with the figure being the first thing tourists see when they arrive, Küçükler said.

Why is every newspaper article turned into a thread these days by a small group of people?

You think we’re stupid and cannot find/read the articles ourselves?

What is the debate at hand in this thread and where is YOUR input?

Why are so many claims made that man-made structures are visible from space?

Am told all these spy satellites that are flying around can read a newspaper from space!

... but without super-duper cameras, relying on the human eye alone, not even the much cited Great Wall of China is visible from space!... and def not the Pac-man on the Pendathacttilos.

GR - posts 29319 - is now in breach of interrupting a thread with his personal comments. Not good enough.

You would not undersatand even if I tried to explain. The "debate" as you call it (in fact the "subject") is quite clear for people with ordinary IQ, but, admitedly, too difficult for you. So just do not bother.

Are you suggesting that the the majority of people in this forum have the same IQ as you?
Well, if that is so, the rest of us, being a "small group of people" minority, we are entitled to respect and protection.  Just like our cousins in the North

So, you better behave 8).

And by the way. Forums are not only for debates. But also for exchange of info and knowledge. I know you have no connection with either (or you don't want to for your own reasons). I know you prefer to demonstrate your unsubstantiated "authenticity" (or stupid remarks) on various subjects without serious contradiction. But you will not stop the rest of us from exchanging info and knowledge. To your dismay I am sure!

Concerning whole media article postings.
Personally I prefere to read an article posted by a forumer, instead of having to navigate away from the forum and come back again to comment etc. And I believew many other forumers feel the same. Now, then, if YOU do not feel comfortable with this, you can simply PISS OF.

Kimon,

Your constant anti-Turkey childish gloating and spiteful article dumps like…

“Bagis farted!”

“Erdogan had a terrible dinner”

“Turkey lost a football match”

…and similar tossings, are just FUCKING BORING baby crap!

Whatever made you think you were ready to leave the “GreekDefense” forum and join the CF? :?

Grow up dude because your input is as interesting as a chewing gum stuck on a fleabag’s sole!

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
Exposing and focusing on our positives is infinitely more powerful than concentrating on our enemies and negatives.

I would have never known about this monstrosity if Kimon hadn't pointed it out.
This FORUM is about OUR country, OUR future and OUR survival.
The more focus you put on the enemy, the more recognition and attention it acquires and the more importance it accumulates.

Agreed.

What you have to remember is that other unregistered people read this forum who may not know where to look or indeed may not be familiar with the Cyprob.

These highlighted articles do a good job is exposing the terrorist state - turkey - for what it is.

There is not harm in posting them, I like to see what others have found that I may have missed, but I am also mindful that lookers in do get to see the monster that we are having to deal with.

Therefore, IMHO, we should continue posting these even for this purpose and GR mate, just go with the flow buddy.

Keep it guys.

Knowing our enemy, how he thinks how he acts and what he plans in general and especially when it comes to issues related to us, is, I believe, very important in choosing the most effective way to react and answer to his actions, claims, plans and accusations. Additionally, exposing your enemy to thirds from whom you expect help and support, is not very negative either.
And finally, ridiculing the Turks whenever they try to claim MY cultural heritage as their own is a grate pleasure.
