The “Cyprus Problem” has gradually become a grand theatre of illusions where the main deluded protagonists are battling it out on a daily basis to outperform each other in tricks that would even put David Copperfield to shame!
But it’s really hard to tell who among them would win the David Copperfield Award hands down!
Is it the regressive “Hellenes” who claim to have invented democracy thousands of years ago, yet can’t balance their books on a computer in the 21st century?
Is it the “neo-Ottomans” who claim to be a “super power” and “string puller” of the ME, yet have a GDP p/capita of about $5000, an army of pike men, and the influence of a bouncer?
Is it the “Turkish Cypriots” who hate being counted and just want to “share” everything belonging to others, even though the only finger they have ever lifted was the one they shoved up their arse in 1974?
Or is it the “Communist-led RoC” which thinks it can handle global oil wars while blowing up power stations and making donations to Cuba?
It’s a really tough one… but YOU decide!
