Yes, my mother will apply in Cyprus, the ID card was going to be several weeks wait from Australia - so I applied last week in Limassol, and I had it 5 minutes later - excellent!

Do everything in Cyprus is my advice, even applying for citizenship.

Never go through the Consulate!

That seems about right!

Sometimes it can be quicker than that, but if you went through the Consulate it would be incredibly slow.

Last time I was in Cyprus I was there for four weeks only. Sadly but true ........ In that time I got an ID card and a Cypriot passport.

The sad thing was I couldn't leave Cyprus with my new Cypriot passport because I entered the Nation w/ an Australian passport.

oh crap, so can we even use the passport?? can they scan us in on Australian and scan us out on Cypriot at the same time?
