I have been a smoker of Benson and Hedges Gold (previously B&H SPecial Filter) for over 40 years - not necessarily a thing to be proud of, but merely a statement of fact.
I have recently noticed that the cigarettes are constantly going out, thus requiring a re-light which we are told adds to the dangers of accumulated chemicals being inhaled etc.
Over the weekend, a friend of mine complained that [i]her[i] brand (Royals) are now doing the same, which leads me to suspect that the manufacturers have altered the "recipe" of the tobacco without telling anyone!
Has anyone else any experience of this with their own brand, or any knowledge of why it is happening? I suspect that the Saltpetre content may have been removed, as I understand that it is this ingredient that keeps a cigarette alight when not being puffed.
