Actually it's pretty good. Cyprus is considered relatively non-corrupt ranking 30th globally out of 183 countries and 16th out of 32 countries in the EU and west Europe.

Nah! The officials doing the study were corrupt! They took backhanders in the shape of bottles of ambelopoullia. :D

If the statistics are to be believed the performance by some of the younger "countries" is quite shocking. For example, it only took Turkey 90 years to become sooooo corrupt. Others have taken 10,000 years or more. :D

That's misleading because it's actually a corruption PERCEPTIONS count!

In other words, if the people in a country are completely oblivious to their corruption as in the case of the ignorant twits in the United States, they'll appear as angels in this survey and demonize everyone else… when in actual fact America is the world’s most corrupt country!

The article states cl;early that Cyprus is bad in trannsparency this is ver bad . Read the article in Cyprus Mail and that it has no transparency from government bodies etc.
