"Man of the Year" with Time Magazine ONLY means of someone who is making headlines in the media for a period of time and nothing else. Hitler too have been chosen as "Man of the Year" in the past. It is not always a positive thing to become the "Man of the Year" on Time magazine!

Yes there have been some very notorious selections by Time magazine for this bogus "Man of the Year" award.

Some notable winners include Adolf Hitler, Stalin, Nixon, Kissinger, Ayatullah Khomeini, and George W Bush.

Erdogan will be in good company, and judging by some of the past winners, I would say he has a very good chance.
