...indeed, China is a middle country and a good neighbour with Turkey, like Brazil and Pakistan; they are players in a war that will need finance and material, for control of the wider political-geographic sphere of asia near and not so far.

...yup dumb old Usa will they run to the lowest bidder, or 'betray' them, their defence jobber Turkey, which is more than willing (it seems) what with the new radar installation, it will be interesting if this melds with Russia's naval designs in Syria for a port there; who will be fighting who for/against what?

...but it gets more complicated with so many blocks opening, especially if december's report for gaz are stellar.

Too bad ally Greece will not be able to show up to defend Turkey. They can't even afford to pay the fuel for their F16s.

Iran won't attack Turkey, to do so will be an attack against a NATO member and therefore trigger the mutual defence clause.

If Iran were to then that would give the USA et al the excuse to attack Iran that some are suggesting it is looking for and Iran knows it. Additionally, few of the Sunni gulf states will have much of a problem with a US retaliation, the UNSC or GA won't be in a position to veto any action and neither PRC or Russia will be in a position to do much about it even if they wanted to.

That said Israel is not in the best position to attack Iran and the USA is not going to initiate anything so it is all hot air.

Iran is going to attack a NATO instillation not Turkey as such, so do you think NATO will let that go?

Iran is going to attack a NATO instillation not Turkey as such, so do you think NATO will let that go?

Are the installations not on "Turkish sovereign" territory, then? Isn't an attack on any *voluntarily or approvingly installed sites, within Turkey, an attack on Turkey and its policies?

[ * voluntarily - because an attack on SBAs is NOT an attack on the RoC in the same vein as NATO bases.]
