YFred needs your help.

On the 4th of December I am doing a sponsored walk in support of the Cypriots who are occupying the buffer zone in Nicosia. If anybody wishes to join me no matter where they live are welcome, however if you can’t join me and would like to make a contribution no matter how small you are also welcome .

I know. From Fred Palace to Chiswick Bridge, then along the river to Richmond Bridge, up Richmond hill to Richmond Gate and down to Pembroke lodge. Then to Ham Gate and Isabella Plantation, down to Pen ponds, then on to Sheen Gate and back to Fred Palace for Sandwiches and Tea.

Any takers?

Any donations no matter how small would be welcome.

Hooray to our YFred! :D

PS. Will the sandwiches include lountza and halloumi? 8)

What is the length of this sponsored walk? Are we talking more than a trip down the road for a halal kebab?

YF...
Tahrir Sq Demonstrations was never won. The same people were in power as before except one man. I thought we had learned by now that by changing the head of the very bad organisation will not change all that much from the removal of Mafia leaders for the last 70 years. It still continues. When it comes to the elections, I don’t see why they are opposing them. Let the new government get elected and then demand they take all control from the army.

As to Buffer zone occupation, what it will achieve at the end is debatable, but the buffer zone and the border is the main building block of the partitioners, its removal will send a strong message to both communities that there is only one way forward and that is United which how many buffer zones we end up with. We have been asking for the crossing in Lurucina to open for years and there is still dragging their feet. I am not so sure which side it is but it does not matter. Lurucadis want it opened and so do Dali and Limbya residents.

They seem to be very unorganised. No bank account for donations and no supplies relying on the public’s generosity.

At least we should try to help them, may be it is the spark that is needed before the January meeting.

An answer to GR!, etc...

Betragullui, it is a 10 mile walk.

I see Master GR Bates is leaving his implants where they are.

Where is your pledge?

It is so easy to sit at a computer and just bitch about things. Get off your arses and show that you actually care about your country. If enough people do it, we may actually see some movement and compromises in January from both sides.

Fundraising status...

So far I have raised 18 pounds but I hope to reach 1000 by next week.

Sounds like he's raising enough for his flight over to Cyprus.

[Little does he realise the "Occupy" protests are directed at capitalists like him.]
