One correction figgy. Real men do not beat up women. It is mindless ignorant fools who would ever lay an angry hand on a women. I repeat, A real man would never beat a women.

I suggest the women involved immediately end the relationship. Why would she want to be with trash like that anyway?

Probably stating the obvious here but did you report it to the police and has he been through court yet? Not all that up on CY law but reckon with those witnesses you don't even need a victim complaint.

How sad to note that THIS small comment , the perfect precursor which ( if taken advisedly) could have opened a sensible debate on the 'WHY's' which must have triggered the abuse, both physical and mental, in both of the examples which preceded the above comment.

Unfortunately, the opportunity for the introduction of foul language and 'Self Defensive' responses, seems to have proven too much for some.

Such a pity, who knows, there may even have been an opportunity to 'Help' some afflicted person (Male or Female) if a more sensible and constructive approach to the comment "They both need help" was adopted.

Perhaps 'Next Time' might produce a little more assistance to those who may need some positive guidance.
