Can we please be serious. I have asked Bananiot to answer a very serious question about the EU Acquis and I would like his answer as I find his his argument on the desirable a little disconcerting.

If you want to have some fun, then do it in another thread, but don't ruin this thread.

Seeing that you're from France, do you like to eat frogs?

Not really.

Have eaten frogs legs and will do so again. They taste good when prepared well with other ingredients.

I prefer Cotriade.

If you want to discuss French recipes, then open another thread in the appropriate section.

I think you are paranoid. I am not aware of what has gone on in the past, but regardless of whatever preconceived fears you may or may not have, I am a new member here that lacks much knowledge about this forums dynamics and the personal interactions between its members. So I kindly request that I be given a chance to participate here without let or hindrance, and if I am an imposter, as you seem to believe, then it will come out eventually. I have been here a short time, and while it is early, I have not personally attacked anyone, and have no intention of doing so.

I dedicate this thread to a particular member's views, and not to the individual concerned. I am sure the individual concerned is honorable enough to know this. Anything else other than the content that lies within each and every posting, those that are of a more personal nature, are unhelpful to all of us.

In time, you will get to know me better, as I will you and everyone else, including Bananiot.

Now if you do not mind, I need to resurrect this thread so that we can get back on topic and debate the issue at hand, so if there is anything constructive you can add, then do so freely. I believe this thread asks some very good questions, and it will be nice if Bananiot or anyone else can answer those questions if they wish to do so. I am not "jumping on his back".

This is a serious thread, and I can assure you that I will also join all of you for some fun, but there is a time and place for that and this thread is NOT the place and nor is this the time for inane personal banter which does this thread no justice and is unfair to me.

Remember, everyone is equal before the law, and I have the right to a presumption of innocence of whatever you accuse me of being guilty of even after a handful of postings.

Now, in the interest of common sense, and getting back on topic, I frustratingly start again;

And the founding principles are;

http://europa.eu/scadplus/constitution/ ... htm#RIGHTS

here is a snippet;

Human dignity is inviolable. It must be respected and protected

Everyone has the right to own, use, dispose of and bequeath his or her lawfully acquired possessions. No one may be deprived of his or her possessions, except in the public interest and in these cases and under the conditions provided for by law, subject to fair compensation being paid in good time for their loss. The use of property may be regulated by law in so far as is necessary for the general interest

Everyone is equal before the law

Any discrimination based on any ground such as sex, race, colour, ethnic or social origin, genetic features, language, religion or belief, political or any other opinion, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, age or sexual orientation shall be prohibited

Within the scope of application of the Treaty establishing the European Community and of the Treaty on European Union, and without prejudice to the special provisions of those Treaties, any discrimination on grounds of nationality shall be prohibited

Every citizen of the Union has the right to move and reside freely within the territory of the Member States

Freedom of movement and residence may be granted, in accordance with the Treaty establishing the European Community, to nationals of third countries legally resident in the territory of a Member State

Bananiot, do you accept these core principles?

I have a fair idea who he is GR, let me put it this way, in a previous life he thinks he was a pirate. A miserable sod that is who also thinks that being a cyber tiger does him justice. That is why I have not bothered much with his copy-paste jargon that constitute universal principles that are enjoyed by the few on this planet at least at this moment of time.

Banana, answer tha mans question if you please, he asked you enough times.

Instead of using GR as a smoke screen, I am also interested to hear what you have to say. perhaps I have mis-understood you, we shall see. Answer the question posed to you.

Thanks and have a nice day.
