I have a friend of mine who was working here in Cyprus and his employee had paid his social insurance for no less than a year and a half when he got sick and left to England to get a proper medical treatment, when he came back his job was already taken and you all know how hard it is to get a job in Cyprus winter time, so he applied for his social insurance money and he had been waiting for 3 months now without getting paid a penny , he goes sign every month in two places in the employment office and in the social insurance and whenever he asks when am I getting paid he gets a ( we do not know it comes from Nicosia answer)
I was wondering if anyone here knows detailed info about the system, how long it takes and how much percentage is giving back and for how long? would be helpful.
