Turkish Petr. Corp and Shell to produce and share hydrocarbons in East. Med.
The Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) and Dutch energy company Shell signed a cooperation agreement on oil and natural gas exploration today.
The Turkish Petroleum Corporation and the Dutch energy company Shell signed the agreement to explore, produce and share oil and natural gas in Eastern Mediterranean and Turkey's southeastern Anatolia region.
Turkish Energy & Natural Resources Minister Taner Yıldız attended the signing ceremony.
Under the agreement, TPAO will continue its seismic research off the coast of the southern province of Antalya along with Shell.
Drilling will begin in light of collected data after seismic research in the area is completed.
If drilling begins, Shell will meet all the expenses.
The two companies will have equal share if oil or natural gas is found after the drilling efforts.
TRNC ENERGY SUMMIT :
Turkish Minister Atalay and Yildiz will arrive in the TRNC to attend the summit. Turkish Deputy Prime Minister in Charge of Cyprus Affairs Beşir Atalay and the Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yıldız will attend the 5th Energy Summit in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Turkish Ministers, Beşir Atalay and Taner Yıldız will attend the 5th Organized Industrial Zone Energy Summit.
The Summit which is to be held by the Organized Industrial Zones Senior Organization in Turkey is scheduled to take place in Kyreania on Saturday, the 26th of November.
The summit will be realized with three sessions, the Geopolitics of the Eastern Mediterranean, the Energy Market and the Organized Industrial Areas.
