To your dismay, no trouble for us, you maybe, not us.

The EU chair is waiting to be filled by the ass of the RoC, NOT the trashcan pseudo state. So, no VP no problem for us. Although I gess it is causing you stomach ulcers :D

personally the talks should break off due to Turkeys behaviour and to give us a chance to get sorted with the gas find, then we can think about it again later when turkey has learnt some manners in the international community. As for EU membership, well pigs might fly too! :D :D :D

What they mean Halil is that the RoC is now a superpower, a regional giant. We dictate the terms now ... beware!

Why don't we let the UN arbitrate on the extent of how close a solution is and on claimed convergences and indeed on the matter of arbitration itself.

Here are a few statements made by Downer only yesterday...

"Downer: We Are Not Arbitrators...

THE UN Secretary General’s Special Advisor on Cyprus, Alexander Downer reiterated yesterday that the UN has no intention of arbitrating efforts to solve the Cyprus problem, but will do all it can to facilitate the communication between Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots.
“Don’t be hysterical, we are not going to (arbitrate or mediate), take my word for it,” said Downer after a meeting with President Demetris Christofias last night.
Christofias and Downer talked about developments since the Greentree meeting in New York last month, while also started planning for the following two months, before another meeting is held in Greentree in mid-January.
Quizzed on whether he was optimistic about the new round of discussions, Downer said that several convergences had been achieved at Greentree and in its lead-up, but conceded that divergences remained."

Much more at... http://www.cyprus-mail.com/un/downer-we ... s/20111122

From which it should be clear the UN ain't gonna arbitrate despite the alleged leaks coming out of the Occupation Regime and elsewhere.

Indeed. In fact, only two days ago Eroglu was quoted as saying that if there is no solution by early 2012 then the whole process will effectively resume again in the latter half of 2013 after the Cyprus EU Presidency and the Presidential elections. If Turkey are so keen for a solution then they had better get a move on...

Keep taking the tablets grandad, you'll be ok.

No one ever said the Cyp was Superpower, or regional giant or anything else. The suggestion was, it was about time the so called international community, the upholders of democracy and all that, pulled their fingers out and took action. Why do you reject this?? Is it because your turkish masters would be upset. You should ask for a raise with all the BS you are peddling on their behalf.

Its better to stick your head in the sand for six months and hope that the situation will change. This might bring Turkey closer to EU accession, it might help solve their inability to normalize relations too.

You probably have forgotten I am not a great supporter of the EU, which is gradually approaching the verge of collapse...Greece, Spain, Italy, Ireland and who knows how many more on the brink of economical collapse...and you think that Germany and France will support them, you got another think coming...its everyone for themselves, you can take the rickety old rocking chair on the verge of collapse, its your arse you can give it out as much as you want not my business thank god.

If you think that way and have the support of the other GCs why not grow some balls and walk away from the talks and deal with the big find of the century?
the answer to all your dreams.

Where is you EU support in response to Turkeys actions??? they dont give a shit about a bunch of spoilt individuals who have not been able to solve their own problems for the past 50 years.

There has been ABSOLUTELY NO PROGRESS on crucial issues during the talks and everybody knows it.
there was progress on non crucial issues, and on the matter of Governments and power sharing in other words to those issues that the Kypreoi had something to give and nothing to take.

And Bananiot stop creating ghosts in your imagination and stop fighting them. It's bad for your health. If you can't do that then just stick to the old ones, Nationalists, bigots, what have you    no need for new ones :P
