If you haven't noticed already, Cyprus is an island.

Going by your logic, UK, Ireland, Iceland and Malta are also not European countries, just because they do not also have land in the continent.

Were you trying to use logic or were you just being funny?

Madagascar is an island and they are considered to be in Africa. UK, Ireland and Iceland are all European. Just grab a map and see half country is Asian land. They have nothing to do with Europe.

But Iceland, UK, Ireland and Malta do not have land in the continent, so how can they be part of Europe and not Cyprus?

That's where you logic fall apart, because if Turkey is part of Europe, then so must be Cyprus, just as Madagascar is to the African continent!

Borders of Europe end in Dardanelles and Bosphorus. 4 Turkish cities are within European continent and half country south of TRNC is no where near them. Antakya, Aleppo, Tel-Aviv and Alexandria are the closest so if you don't like to be Asian, you can always choose to be an African as the second option. After all, you guys look like Coptic Egyptians in terms of skin color.

You poor sod. All you do is prove why Turkey can't find its way into the EU. It's full of backward, knuckle-dragging troglodytes like you.

Another poor soul who can't claim half country south of TRNC has land in Europe. This is getting exciting MidEasterners.

Look Helsignfors - the Tur*s may have territory in Europe but the Turkish peoples are not by and large European: indeed the terms you use to describe the Kypreos living in the unoccupied area of the legal ROC apply just as much to the Kibrilisi residents of the non country forming the 37% of the land of the ROC illegally occupied by the Turkey through military force. From my experiences of visiting Turkey these terms apply equally to the Turks themselves, who mostly, in particular in land have very little European ancestry and are either probably descended from neolithic setllers from the middle east, or Turkik steppes peoples who invaded about a thousand years ago.

Another Middle Easterner who takes the defensive by attacking Turkey rather than showing us half country south of TRNC has any land in Europe. You simply can't claim it can you? Paphos is in Asia but Tekirdağ is 100% European land. You are as Asian as Israel and Kazakhstan.
