The T/Cs are also EU citizens courtesy of being citizens of Cyprus. Many Muslims in Europe are EU citizens. Next Summer the RoC takes over the Presidency of the European Union. So despite the Turkish occupation Cyprus is regarded as a full-member of the EU and has the same status and privileges as any other member. The EU acquis are unfortunately suspended in the occupied areas. If you have a problem with that, blame Turkey. As for Turkey, the EU started negotiations with Turkey for membership but Turkey couldn't finish the job. Too bad. Get over it...

In the same token, do you see any non European countries in the EU?

just the half country. and we all know how they became EU members: by Greece blackmailing the EU that they will veto other candidates. We all know how Greece entered EU zone as well without meeting the criteria.

You cannot negotiate EU membership on behalf of TCs because you don't represent them. You entered EU as an Asian entity with mercy of Greece because they see you as their satellite in East med. half country presidency means nothing for North Cyprus and Turkey because you will find no one sitting at the table. So get over it.

Where did you get that from? Do you have a credible link to back your claims?

For your info the RoC went through ALL the EU accession chapters and passed most with flying colors. Those in which she was lacking she had to introduce reforms and then passed.

Apparently they did because nobody recognizes "Turkish Cypriots" as anything other than what comes UNDER the RoC. Of course, you can FANTASIZE otherwise all you want… so feel free.

What's all this baloney?

So why don't you have any control over North Cyprus? Neither France nor Germany have sent any troops since 2004 and they will never do so you are very much on your own.

The official political representative of all things Cypriot is the RoC and the fact that 37% of Cypriot territory is under an illegal Turkish invasion/occupation doesn't change anything so it looks like you’ve been had...

What French and German troops? :?

If you keep repeating that nonsense, you are going to sound just as foolish as Gül does. It's like calling a hole, half a hole. No such term exists.

What does it matter how Cyprus got in. You should be grateful that Cyprus is in the EU, because ALL the TCs are also EU citizens now with EU passports given to them from their country of the RoC. If you are a Turk, then I can see why you feel such sour grapes, because now the RoC can block Turkey's EU entry if they don't solve the Cyprus problem, and since most TCs are citizens of the RoC, they too are blocking Turkey's EU entry just by being EU citizens, whether you like it or not. Learn to accept realities and also learn not to use meaningless slogans told by bitter & sour Turkish politicians. They may be trying to impress their voters, but you are not impressing anyone.
