It's you it escapes. Of course we have Greek "influence" in Cyprus. That's natural. The natives are of Greek ethnic descent . It's a Greek island. Inhabited by Greeks.
Cyprus, unique and Greek!

Well I hope you realize that with your frame of mind it’s impossible for Turkey to even consider a departure!
See how you FEED the Turkish occupation?

I know you are not as "trusting" of Turkish policy as some turkophiles around here. Even if Turkey had ever declared such a condition for a departure (has it?), with Cyprus' original geopolotical being potentially valuable, do you believe it would ever have actually left, quietly, voluntarily? Let alone now that we are in the EU and have petroleum interests. It's not Greece's influence Turkey is worried about. It's the whole West's interest in Cyprus that makes Turkey want to be a part of us. So give up attacking the wrong country, you dated troglodyte, and wake up to the one and only enemy of peace in Cyprus - Turkey.

The Greek nationalist garbage the likes of you, Piratis, and some other short sighted fools post here, is in fact Turkey’s ONLY valid excuse to be here and unfortunately it’s all they’ll ever need!
If I were Turkey I'd do exactly the same! I’d be VERY concerned about your fucked up expansionistic mindsets! Even while your ship is sinking you are still very dangerous…

I think you've hit on a novel solution to the Cyprob. We could all pretend we're Swiss then maybe Turkey would get confused and leave the island. Maybe we're really descended from Swiss neoliths who found their way to Cyprus by mistake? Yes, I think that's it. Now you go convince Turkey that the whole invasion and occupation thing has been one big mistake. I'll be waiting...

If Turkey truly respected Cyprus as a free state, it wouldn't care with whom it associated. Therein lies the fallacy of your stance.
